I want this to be as simple and easy as possible. I know that we instinctively know that we are energetic beings. I am going to approach this straight to the point.
A chakra is shaped like a tornado, with the small part closest to the body.
We are fueled by the flow of energy in and around our bodies
There are many areas in our body that we can tap into to change and charge with visualization
All you need is your imagination and 2 minutes
The root chakra is exactly as it sounds, it sits at your root. If you imagine that you where standing up and there was a pole from the ground into your body. That is your root chakra. See below for placement of Root Chakra
Keeping or repairing the flow of energy in this area will help your skin be healthy. This is where your your feelings of safely live. If you have anxiety issues or the feeling of fight or flight, doing this exercise will help regulate and dissipate those feelings. We will just start with those two. In the big picture this area of the energy system is about how you fit into your tribe/family. People who have issue with lack of support in life or when they where growing up will find help doing this meditation to create a feeling of safety without a secure support system beyond themselves.

Take a few deep breaths to bring yourself to the present and into your body with your mind
Take your mind to where the root chakra is (as if you could sit on it)
Visualize a mini tornado that is red
As you breath in, spin the tornado and picture the color red moving from the tornado, into your body
Exhale and picture the color red expanding throughout your body and a little beyond
Do this 5 times
You may notice different things during this practice. You may feel a sensation of the energy moving, you may feel a little dizzy or a feeling of expanding. It is different for everyone. You may feel nothing at all, that is fine too. Practice this at least once a day to experience a difference. Practice a few times a day if you are feeling weakness in your life around the things that I stated above, such as anxiety, immune or skin problems.

Mainstream toothpaste is loaded with things that are bad for us. Dyes, artificial sweeteners and fluoride to mention a few things. So, I make my own. It taste great, leaves my teeth and mouth feeling great. There are so many recipes you can try on line. I make mine with baking soda, salt, peppermint essential oil, coconut oil and redmond clay. If you make your own, what's in yours?
Here is a recipe that I use, I am not good with measuring, so as you make it use your intuition and taste to make it right for you.
2 tablespoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tablespoon Redmonds (bentonite) clay (I order this on line)
4 drops peppermint essential oil
mix it all together and keep in a closed glass container. I do not keep it in the fridge and have no issue with it going rancid. It is best made with good quality products of course.
I think almond milk can be however you like it, sweet, unsweetened, vanilla or chocolate. I will give you the basics and you can play with adding whatever you like. As you can see in the above picture, I have collected a few things that make things easier. A Vitamix blender, nutbag ( I dare you not to giggle) and a big glass jar. You do need a blender. Something that will chop through the nuts and can run pretty high, even a bullet will work. The nut bag is a good way to strain and separate the liquid from the solids, but you can use anything will do the same type of job. An old pair of stockings, metal strainer or even cheese cloth. Kidding about the stockings, but I think you get what I'm saying. Just use what you have. This recipe will be just a suggestion and if you know me, you know that I do not follow directions very well. Experiment and have fun. Organic ingredients are the best, but the most important thing is make sure that your almonds are raw.
1 Cup Raw Almonds
clean water, none of that chlorinated, fluoride filled yucky stuff
4 cups clean water
1 tsp vanilla
4 dates (without pit) for sweetener. If you do not like or have them, you can use any other sweetener you like
To start with take the cup of almonds (peels on are fine) and cover them with enough water that it is a few inches above the almonds. Let soak, covered for at least 2 hours, overnight is fine, more than that I would drain the water and you can store in the fridge to wait for you for up to a day. Throw into the blender 4 cups water, all the soaked almonds, vanilla and dates. Blend on high for 2 minutes. Transfer to bottle or bowl while you strain. You will find that it is helpful to squeeze the liquid out well by hand once it stops flowing. You will be left with a almond mash that you can discard or use for something else. Cover the almond milk and put in the fridge. It is great for so many things. You can drink it plain, put in a smoothies, it is vegan, bake with it, the possibilities are endless. Enjoy!

I love it and use all of the stuff that they send me.
Here is a very simple thing that takes about 2 minutes that will leave your eyes feeling refreshed and soothed. We all know what it feel like at the end of the day, when our eyes are done with looking.... or at the beginning of the day, when they say to you "screw you, I'm not ready to open!" Sit for just a couple of minutes and try this.
Imagine that there is a clock in front of you with all the number around the circle. With your eyes closed, start at the 12 on the clock and go 5 minutes at a time around the clock, spending only a a second or 2 at each number. 5, 10, 15, 20 ect, until you arrive back at 12. Go around 2 or 3 times. Be easy on your eyes, if they feel tired, go slow. When you have finished going clockwise, then turn around and do the same counter clockwise. When you are done, rub both of your together enough to create warmth, then place each hand on both of your eyes to sooth them with your warm hands. This is a good time to take a couple of deep breaths and thanks to your eyes for all the work they do everyday. Staying open even when you don't want to still be awake or seeing things you do not want to see. Also thanking them for all the wonderful things that they allow you to process and see with wonder. Before you open them, place a vision in front of you that make you the happiest. The beach, the mountains, your children, your lover, your dog/cat.... your favorite thing. Just appreciate the grace of them. Then open your eyes and be in your day with more clear vision and less fatigue.
Good morning. I am going to keep this simple. There is much information about this if you do your own research, but here are the basic tidbits about how to curb and sometimes halt your anxious feelings. So many of us, as we rush around in our lives, forget how to breath properly. I was speaking with a friend who was in one of my classes and he was talking about watching a baby breath. How they breath with their belly. If you watch a baby sleep, their belly will go up and down more than their chest. They are completely relaxed and remembering exactly what their bodies needs. For so many reasons as we grow older, experience more demands and let lives ride take us to a forgetting place, our breathing becomes halted, short and misplaced. With this very simple exercise you can ease uncomfortable feelings and detox your body of unhealthy gases that build up due to not exhaling completely before you take another breath.
Very Simple: Stop what you are doing, so you can pay attention to exactly what you are doing. Start counting how long you are inhaling and exhaling. The secret is to exhale longer than you inhale. Count 1,2,3 to inhale and 1,2,3,4 to exhale. The numbers do not have to be exactly what I am saying, just as long as the exhale is longer. This will clear your body of pent up gases that get built up due to not exhaling properly. It is like a catch 22, we breathe wrong when we feel anxious and then the anxious breaths we are taking make us more anxious due to a chemical reaction. Try to do a total of 10 breaths and you should feel much better when you are done. In the future if this works for you, try to remember to sit down and fix your breath as soon as you feel a little anxiety, this will help you avoid full blown uncomfortable feelings of anxiety.
